Recipients of the Jini Stolk Creative Fellowship are all leaders and innovators, contributing to Toronto’s ever evolving arts sector.

Anna Gallagher-Ross was selected from among 18 nominations. Through the Jini Stolk Fellowship, Anna intends to lead the creation of a publication for The Bentway’s 10-year anniversary that will document its site-specific, community-driven model of public art practice. The project will introduce a curatorial framework and practical toolkit to inspire peers and position The Bentway as a thought leader in creative placemaking. The fellowship will also provide Anna with mentorship, opportunities for local and international collaboration, and the means to shape the vision for The Bentway’s next decade of programming—advancing her research, practice, and leadership in transformative public art.

“I am delighted and so grateful to receive the second-ever Jini Stolk Creative Fellowship, and I take very seriously the trust and responsibility that this Fellowship represents. Jini cared very deeply about the way that we work together to create art, and I am inspired by her work to challenge and rework systems to make them more human-centred. I am honoured to carry on her legacy, and to use the next two years in this Fellowship as a way to continue her work to make a kinder, more inclusive sector for us all.” - Jamie Martino
Jaime Martino was selected from among 16 nominations. With the funds supported by the Fellowship, Jaime aims to bring together stakeholders from across classical music to work together to find levers in their systems to change the culture within them. Her goal is for unions, industry associations, and leadership from major organizations to work together to provide training, support, and accountability to address deep inequities in companies across the classical music sector.

Kevin Matthew Wong was selected from among 29 nominations. With the funds supported by the Fellowship, Kevin aims to examine and propose “mutually beneficial collaboration models between BIPOC companies and large-scale performing arts institutions.” Through research, sharing and reporting Kevin will examine “how [we] can work together towards a more dynamic, equitable arts ecosystem.”
